John Hookwater
Full of steaming rythm-guitar riffs John is the engine producing most of the Seventh Seal songs following the dictates of one's heart, offering a lot of participation to all Seals makin' Seventh Seal such a great band to work with. John and Adrian shared many stage adventures while they were touring with Random and later on Shebang, in wich band John played the bass and also suplied in approved power riffs. The result was the great Shebang album ''Freeze'' wich had the interest of record companies but never became an official release as the band decided to soon to split up, cause of musical differences. John's influances come from the great riff-masters of all times as for instance Toni Iommi, Kurt Vanderhoof [Metal church] and Rudolf Schenker. ''Fat'', ''tight''', and ''massive'' are terms to define his sound, forming the ideal combi with Machiel's ''transparant and flowing'''' guitar playing. John proudly uses Gibson- and Vantage flying V guitars and Marshall amps.
